When you think of door-to-door salesmen, typically its the vacuum salesman that comes to mind. Offering a wide array of products, door-to-door sales were quite common in the 1950s and 1960s. Shockingly, they are still around today in 2022…just not as prevalent. No doubt the most popular “brand” was the Kirby vacuum salesman.
